Steve Burgess, Site Director, Mississauga, Global Manufacturing and Supply
Steve Burgess holds the position of Site Director at Mississauga (Canada) within GSK's Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS). In this role, Steve leads the manufacturing and supply organization for the site which produces liquids, creams, ointments and solid dose products for shipment to many markets around the world. Steve also sits as a member of GSK's Canadian Country Management Board.
Steve joined GSK in 1993 as a Primary Production Engineer at GSK's Worthing site located on the south coast of England. Since then he has held roles of increasing responsibility at five different GSK manufacturing sites. Prior to his current role, Steve held the position of Business Unit Director for the Steriles and Inhalations business at GSK's Barnard Castle manufacturing site in the United Kingdom.
Steve holds an MBA from Cranfield University, a PGDip in Industrial Pharmaceutical Studies from Brighton University and a BEng (Hons) in Chemical and BioProcess Engineering from the University of Bath. Steve is also a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers.
