VOLUNTARILY RECALL OF TUMS EXTRA STRENGTH (750MG) ASSORTED BERRY 100CT AND ROLL 3X8CT

GSK Consumer Healthcare Canada is voluntarily recalling one lot each of TUMS EXTRA Strength (750mg) Assorted Berry 100ct (lot 7B3G) and Assorted Berry Roll 3x8ct (lot CS6M) due to the remote possibility that a foreign metal contaminant could be present in the product, posing a potential safety risk to a consumer.

Patient safety and product quality are our utmost priorities at GSK Consumer Healthcare. Based on the data we have available, we believe it is extremely unlikely that there is a contaminated tablet in the market. However, we have decided to voluntarily initiate this recall as a precautionary measure.

These products were distributed from 14 OCT 2020 – 20 JAN 2021 to Canada retail stores and online retailers. The recall is limited to the lots listed below:

GSK recommends that consumers stop use of impacted product and contact GSK’s recall partner Sedgwick at 1-866-469-6524 or via email at gskcanada3969@sedgwick.com with any questions or concerns. To report a product quality complaint or adverse event, consumers can contact our Consumer Relations team at ca.customer-relations@gsk.com, or by phone at 1-800-250-8866 Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm EST.

As of the date of the recall announcement, GSK Consumer Healthcare has received one consumer complaint reporting the presence of a metal contaminant inside a tablet of batch 7B3G. No other potentially related complaints or adverse events have been reported.

Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking or using this product.
